Description
This unsnapped English Stengun, Type MK V is equipped for 9 x 19 mm ammunition and neatly unsnapped, which can be seen in the photos.
The name of this machine gun should actually be capitalised. This is because it is an abbreviation of the designers; Shephert, Turpin and ENfield
The trigger is movable. The bolt is movable. The fire selector ( semi or full auto ) is movable The magazine is removable and the magazine inlet can be rotated 90 degrees. The wooden stock is removable and the "safety"-pushing the bolt through the casing-also works. The STEN MK V entered service in the spring of 1944. The MK V was a qualitatively better and more reliable version of its predecessor, the MK II and III. This weapon was used massively by the British airborne troops in Operation Market Garden.
