Description
This is a rare and unusual Czechoslovak CZ 52 or VZ52 (Model 52) Semi-automatic 7.62 x 45mm rifle with chromed folding bayonet.
Like so many guns designed and produced by CZ, it is a beautiful and innovative piece of engineering. Designed and developed towards the end of World War II, it is a combination of several foreign designs, plus a few Czech ideas. The trigger mechanism is similar to that of the US M1 rifle and the gas system to that of the German MP44. It also uses several early Walther rifle designs. The action and bolt are very similar to those of the German Gewher 43. It has a permanently attached folding bayonet, which like other parts of this weapon are chrome-plated. It has recently been deactivated. Comes with an EU DECO certificate, of course.
